Dr. Erin Fontenot takes a special interest in personally getting to know each of her patients while helping them achieve their best smile.
Her focus is creating a healthy smile through science and artistry. She educates her patients on the relevance of “the mouth-body connection” in hopes of promoting a desire for overall health and wellness.
After practicing in New Orleans and Charlotte, NC following dental school, Dr. Erin Fontenot returned home to Acadiana in October of 2015. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA and attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors in 2010.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, Acadiana District Dental Association and Acadiana Southern Society. As a past member of the Junior League of New Orleans and Charlotte and now an active member of the Lafayette Junior League, Dr. Fontenot has played an integral role in volunteering and organizing many community projects of 7 years of service and is currently Co-Chairman of the 2018-2019 Lafayette Kitchen Tour.
Dr. Fontenot is committed to learning about the latest advancements in dentistry, with a special interest in cosmetics. She has been a member of the Frank Spear Study Club for the last several years and attends monthly continuing education seminars on the most contemporary dental procedures and the latest technology.
When Dr. Fontenot isn’t practicing dentistry, she enjoys running, cooking, traveling and spending time with her husband, two West Highland White Terriers, family and friends.
She also enjoys spending time with her newest addition to the family, Caroline Camille.
